Adolescence is the second largest brain growth development phase. Understanding what's going on in your teen's brain can help you support them. This presentation will be a straightforward discussion on adolescent brain development and its impact on decision making, emotions, and risk taking. Special emphasis will be placed on current trends in adolescent mental health and the topic of substance abuse. The discussion also includes warning signs that your child may be struggling and supportive strategies.
