Congratulations to one of Germantown’s own for her dedication and service to Germantown High School Athletics. Each year, Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association member schools can select one recipient in their communities to receive this award and longtime event worker, community supporter and friend in Monica Schwarz is this year’s recipient.
Monica truly embodies the criteria for this year’s WIAA Service Award. She is always willing to assist with anything athletic related and fills in wherever she can to make sure all co-curricular events go off without a hitch. Officials and spectators alike continue to comment on her ability to make everyone feel welcome and taken care of at every event she works at. Monica, thank you for making a difference and congratulations!

The boys' Swim Team competed in Conference Relays last Saturday. Despite extremely warm conditions and having to rearrange a few events due to illness, the team saw big time drops. Brett Hansen was able to reach his personal best in the 50 free during two separate events. The 4 by 100 individual medley relay of Jayden Knight, John Inga, Preston Bowerman, and Aiden Schelfout placed 7th with each member achieving a personal best time. Several swimmers swam in their first-ever competition. The team was able to see Thomas Trump's, Zachary Prescott's, and Daniel Xu's debut swims as Warhawks. This weekend the team competed in the Brookfield Invite at Brookfield Central. Results will be in the next newsletter later this week!
