Congratulations to Head Baseball Coach Jim Wilkinson on being inducted into the 40th Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame on Saturday, February 12!  Coach Wilkinson is in the middle surrounded by assistants Jimmy Doedens and Logan Meyer.  What a well-deserved honor.  Congratulations, Coach Wilkinson!


GHS hosted an 8th grade orientation night on Wednesday, February 16 and also added a co-curricular fair to the evening's agenda.  The co-curricular message was and is: Warhawks- get involved!

The GHS Ski and Snowboard Club was back on the slopes this year. More than 50 students made the weekly trip to Little Switzerland a few weeks ago. Skiers and snowboarders took advantage of the Wisconsin winter and enjoyed the snow. The group ranges from experienced to beginners. All had a great time!


The MSG Ski Team raced Slalom against Catholic Memorial, Muskego, Wauwatosa and Whitefish Bay a few weeks ago at Alpine Valley. Varsity Girls came home with their third 1st place finish! Varsity Boys got 2nd place, JV Girls Red got 1st, JV Girls Black got 5th and JV Boys got 4th. Another really strong finish for the teams! Top Finishers: Varsity Girls: Paige Macintyre in 5th. Varsity Boys: Nick Peterson in 5th, Ben Diaz in 7th, and Will Cascio in 8th. JV Boys: Luke Waldhuetter in 3rd.

Congratulations to SolTown A Cappella in their amazing performance in their final pre-season exhibition at Oak Creek High School last week. Julia Sherman and Elise Dahlby both shredded their solos, and the choir pulled off a performance that brought thunderous applause from the audience. Come check out the SolTown gang as they begin their competitive season at Oak Creek High School for the ICHSA quarterfinals on Feb. 27.


Over the last two months, FBLA members have been dedicating time studying for objective tests or preparing for event presentations. On Saturday, February 5th, Germantown FBLA participated in the Regional Leadership Conference at Oak Creek High School. Approximately 78 students competed at the regional level with more than 60 advancing to this year’s FBLA State Leadership Conference in Madison, WI! Germantown took home first place in the outstanding chapter award for the eighth straight year. Outstanding chapter is scored based on individual performance in each of the competitive events: 1st Place=5 points, 2nd Place=4 points, 3rd place=3 points, 4th place=2 point, 5th place=1 point. Below you will see the top 10 finishing chapters.

In total, Germantown FBLA had 60 competitors qualify for the state conference. In order to qualify, members must place in the top 3 in their event. Below, is the table for member performance. Please make sure to congratulate students for their outstanding performance!

Congratulations to the 14 students who advanced to State HOSA in Wisconsin Dells this April after the club's first time, in a long time, competing at Regionals. There are also two alternates who may get the chance to compete, good luck everyone. The Germantown Cheer Team honored their two seniors at Tuesday night's boys' varsity basketball game.  Chloe Gequillana and Natasha Francis were recognized.  Chloe has been on the cheer team for four years.  The last two years she has been the captain of the team.  Chloe was thanked for her dedication to the cheer team, for always knowing the cheers and dances, and for always being willing to work with all of her teammates!  Natasha has been on the cheer team for one year.  Natasha is thanked for her enthusiasm and upbeat attitude.  She always has a smile on her face.  Congratulations ladies!



Two weekends ago, the Germantown Pom and Team traveled to LaCrosse, WI to compete in the WACPC State Dance Competition. The team placed 5th in D1 Jazz and 3rd in D2 Pom. This is the first time in history that the Warchix have placed in the top 5 at state with not only one but both of their competition routines! Way to represent GTown ladies and good luck at Disney this weekend!



The Boys' Basketball Team scored a road victory vs Tosa West 66-58 on January 29th.  The boys were 32-37 from the free throw line and played some stellar defense.  Junior Will Van Fossen had 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the way.  AJ WIllard scored 13, Kalerick Terrell had 12, and Hunter Gosz chipped in with 10 points.  


On Saturday, January 30th the team had their1st Annual Warhawk Invite that included all 3 levels from 10 different schools including 5 top 10 Division 1 ranked teams.  The Warhawks lost a tight game to #5 ranked Appleton East.  Hunter Gosz had 30 points and Will Van Fossen had 19.  


On Tuesday the 1st, the boys beat Marquette 72-66 for their most complete victory of the season.  Hunter Gosz scored 22, Will Van Fossen 18, and Kalerick Terrell had 12 points.


Come out and support the guys tonight as they take on Brookfield Central on the road tonight!  


Two Fridays ago the girls basketball team defeated Wauwatosa West 67-32. Emilie Wizner had 18 points to lead the Warhawks. Two Tuesdays ago, the girls beat DSHA 83-47. KK Arnold had 20 points, 7 assists and 7 steals for the Warhawks. Lucy Leininger (14 points, 4 steals, 3 blocks), Emilie Wizner (10 points, 3 assists) and Gretchen McNeal (10 points, 4 rebounds) also scored in double figures. Reese Berge made her season debut and contributed 4 assists to the winning cause.


On Saturday the 12th, in a battle of state ranked Warhawks, the Germantown girls basketball team came back from a 13 point deficit with 8 minutes remaining to defeat Arrowhead 76-70. KK Arnold led the way with 25 points and 10 assists. Emilie Wizner contributed 17 points, Gretchen McNeal had 12 points and 9 rebounds, while Lucy Leininger stuffed the stat sheet with 8 points, 7 assists, 4 blocks and 3 steals. 


On Tuesday the 15th Germantown extended their winning streak to 12 with an 82-64 victory over Hamilton. KK Arnold got off to a hot start and finished with 29 points and 7 assists. One of those assists early in the game was on a Reese Berge 3-pointer to account for the first points of her varsity career. Emilie Wizner had 18 points, while Danica Gosz tallied 10 points. 


The Warhawks take on Brookfield Central at home on Friday for Senior Night. A win clinches a fourth straight Greater Metro Conference Championship and the program's 8th conference championship in the last 9 years.  Good luck!

Two Fridays ago, the Bears traveled to Onalaska for a Friday game against Aquinas and Saturday against Onalaska. On Friday the Bears beat Aquinas by a score of 8-1. Getting into the action was Cameron Luedtke with the game winning goal. Jake Reinke also had a goal. On Saturday the team beat Onalaska by a score of 3-1. Jake Reinke helped out with an assist on the game winning goal.


Two Tuesdays ago the team began the conference tournament beating Whitefish Bay by a score of 6-1. Stone Daczka got on the board with the first goal of the game Camden Luedtke also contributed with a goal. 


Two Thursdays ago the team traveled back to Cedarburg to play the Bulldogs. The Bears were victorious by a 6-1 margin. Camden Luedtke got into the action with an assist. 


The Bears are undefeated in conference play this year. The final conference game is on Saturday against Homestead. With last night's win the Bears have won the North Shore Conference Championship for the second year in a row. 


Congratulations to the Boys’ Swim and Dive Team. TONS of Personal best were achieved last weekend at Sectionals.  (Well done to  Aiden Schelfout, Connor Warmke, Jayden Knight, Caden Christin, Preston Bowerman, John Stewart, Cameron Nesseth, John Inga, Anish Kusukuntla, Brett Haensgen and Cole Konczal.)  A special congratulations to Charlie Ragland who qualified for this weekend's state competition in both the 200 and 100 freestyles! Awesome job this season and good luck Charlie!



Congratulations to the wrestling team on their conference championship!  On 2/5 the Warhawks wrestlers clinched the outright conference title by edging out Brookfield East by 15 points. Eli Rabideau had the upset of the season, pinning the #3 ranked wrestler in the state at 145 lbs in the finals. Individual champions were Owen Becker (106), Talan Schutte (138), Eli Rabideau (145) and Ethan Riddle (160). 7 Warhawks advanced to sectionals this weekend with the hopes of punching their tickets to the state tournament.  Good luck!


Congratulations, again, to Maev Michalak for placing 5th at the first ever WIAA Female Wrestling State Championship!  Way to go!
