Congratulations to the students who participated in the SkillsUSA district competition last week in Watertown. Third place winners were Claire Reddy in woodworking display and Noah Gasper in job interview. Second place winners were Mackenzie Brandt in First Aid/CPR and Krithi Gopinah in Medical math. Finally, placing 1st was Dhir Patel in Architectural Drafting. Congratulations and good luck at regionals!

United Sound is a national program where band students teach special needs students how to play band instruments. This is the third year of having the chapter and it is still the only one in Wisconsin. The group meets every Tuesday after school for fun and music. The United Sound musicians will perform with the GHS Wind Symphony at their February concert. Keep up the good work!
The GHS Pep Band is back in action. Look for this year’s group at most Friday games, cheering on the Warhawk basketball teams. You can even join the group on January 7 in the World’s Largest Pep Band for the girls' basketball game against Sussex-Hamilton. The women of Concert Choir and Cantanti performed in a beautiful concert this weekend with the Wisconsin Philharmonic Orchestra and the choirs of Brookfield East and Central. Well done to all!

The Bears Hockey Team played three games in a week. On Friday they traveled to Bay Port where they lost in a 2-1 battle. On Saturday the team was home against Brookfield, where they squeaked out a 1-0 win. Saturday was military / first responder night, the team raised over $6000 to donate to charities / organizations that support these causes. On Tuesday Sheboygan made their way to West Bend for another home game. The Bears dominated the third period, winning the game 5-2. Stone Daczka got into the action with 2 goals and Camden Luedtke had two assists. The team plays in Appleton Friday night, at Whitefish Bay on Saturday and home Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. against Arrowhead.
The Warhawks defeated Wauwatosa East/West 46-16, winning 9 of the 13 matches. Winners by pin fall were Owen Becker, Ethan Riddle, Jacob Momper and Alex Pluta. Maev Michalak made history becoming the first female to compete for Germantown's varsity wrestling program. The Warhawks traveled to Hartford this past weekend for 5 more duals and were victorious! Congratulations!
It was a busy week for the Warchix Pom and Dance Team last week. They honored their parents at the Boys Basketball Game on Tuesday and competed at the Ashwaubenon Dance Invite this past weekend. The team placed 2nd out of 10 in D2 Pom, 3rd out of 16 in D1 Jazz, and 4th out of 12 in D1 Kick.
In addition, Sierra Bray and Libby Stroebel both placed in their solos as well as their duet! Congratulations and way to represent Gtown ladies!!
