The 2024 Wall of Sound has wrapped up its performances. Thank you to the Germantown Chamber of Commerce for awarding the Santa Trophy to the band in the annual Christmas Festival Parade. They were rated on overall appearance, theme, crowd appeal, spirit and creativity. The Santa Trophy will reside in the band’s trophy cabinet until next year.
The last day of school before Thanksgiving is the final event for the group. They perform for each grade at KMS. it is a fun day of performing and a great way to kick off the holiday weekend.
United Sound has been making music this year. The new musicians have received their books and membership certificates. The mentors are excited to teach them how to play and perform in the band.
The Lakeshore Lightning Girls Hockey team ran its record to 6-0 after winning its conference opener over the Fox Cities Stars 1-0. The win opened the conference season and avenged a loss the previous year to Fox Cities that ended the Lightning season in the Sectional Playoffs.
Lakeshore Lightning defeated Beloit Memorial/Rock County Fury 8-0 Tuesday night with the second shut out of the season to run its record to 2-0. Keep up the good work!
The boys' basketball team is off to a 2-0 start this season.
On Saturday, the Warhawks came out victorious in a 3 overtime thriller against Sun Prairie West 89-82. Cahlil Jones led the way with 37 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals. Keenan Mulberry had 18 points and 8 rebounds after halftime and in the overtimes. Darrius Peete and Austin Grass had 10 points each and JJ Walters grabbed 10 rebounds.
The boys traveled to New Berlin Eisenhower on Tuesday and came away with at 90-80 victory over the Lions. JJ Walters had a team-high 29 points. Cahlil Jones poured in 23 points and Darrius Peete had 18 and 5 assists. Keenan Mulberry contributed 15 points and Cooper Catalano hauled in 9 boards.

The girls' basketball team had a busy first week of games, challenging three teams that played in the state tournament last season.
On Tuesday they defeated Franklin 59-57. Danica Gosz led the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Jaycee Mani (11 points) and Emma Wolf (10 points) got into double digits in the scoring column, while Teigan Stuve (6 rebounds) and Maddie Stocks (5 rebounds) helped out on the boards.
Over the weekend, the girls participated in the Kettle Moraine Thanksgiving Shootout. On Friday they played defending D3 state champs Edgewood, currently ranked #1 in D2, falling 62-44. It was a rough offensive night for the Warhawks, with Danica Gosz being the only player to reach double figures with 11 points. Addie Bushkie contributed 7 points to the effort.
On Saturday the girls took on defending D1 state champ Arrowhead. After a difficult start, Germantown outscored Arrowhead over the last 22 minutes of game time, but fell 79-51. Danica Gosz (16 points) and Jaycee Mani (10 points) led the scoring for Germantown.

The Warhawks opened their season with a dominant 70-5 victory over Menomonee Falls, winning 12 of the 13 matches wrestled. Winning by pin fall were Isaac Weber, Owen Becker, Jack Brukbacher, Eli Rabideau, Ryan Michalski, Jake Momper, Derek Rukamp, Tommy Zimmer and Nathan Stiebs. Boys varsity, Girls varsity and JV all travel to Waukesha South this weekend to Compete in the Blackshirt Festival of Wrestling. Good luck!
