GHS held two events for freshmen over the past two weeks. On Wednesday, August 21 administrators, staff and activity group members welcomed freshmen and their parents to Freshmen Picture and Locker Night. Then, on Friday, August 23 freshmen participated in a tailgate prior to the home football game. The Pom and Dance Team and Band performed and freshmen ate food and played games! The football team will play at Hartford on Thursday, August 29 at 7pm this week. Tickets are ALL electronic and you can purchase one HERE. The game will also be televised HERE. (Ticket prices are Adult $6.00, Student $4.00, and Senior Citizens receive complimentary admission).
On Friday, August 23 Germantown defeated Homestead in their home opener 25-14! The team also celebrated their parent's at Parent's Night.

The GHS Boys' Soccer Team will host their second match-up of the season tonight against Homestead! JV starts at 5 and Varsity at 7pm. GOOD LUCK!
The GHS Girls' Swim and Dive Team has a few meets in already and will host their second dual meet of the season tonight at 6pm against Wauwatosa West. GOOD LUCK!

GHS Boys' Cross Country will run their first meet of the season on Thursday, August 29th at Kettle Moraine Lutheran. The Varsity Boys race at 4:15 pm and the JV Boys at 5:20 pm. The team has been putting in the miles over their first 10 days of the season and competed in a 3200m time trial this past Friday. The top seven performers from the time trial were: Jack Wanezek (senior) 10:28; Jack Flynn (sophomore) 10:40; Cooper Walsh (senior) 10:57; Vander Haussmann (freshman) 11:26; Emerson Feltz (senior) 11:46; Liam Paruch (sophomore) 11:53; Brayden Ebli (senior) 11:55. After a summer of running, the fall cross-country season is in full gear. The girls team numbered 32 last year, and they are now at 41! In addition to 11 freshmen, 2 sophomores and 1 senior also joined the team. The first 2 weeks of team practice have gone really well, and their first meet is TODAY/Thursday, August 29th. The coaches can’t wait for the Germantown Girls to show us what they can do!
The GHS Girls' Golf Team is off and running! They have close to forty members on their team this year and all are having a blast! Their next match is Thursday, September 5 at the Brown Deer Golf Course. Good luck!
Warhawks: WELL DONE on showing good sportsmanship at last Friday's home football game! Please continue to show good sportsmanship at all sporting events, both home and away, throughout the year.
