They earned 23 superior ratings. It was a great day for all musicians. 

WSMAWSMAWSMAWSMAWSMAWSMACongratulations to Lydia Morency who won the Waukesha Area Symphonic Band Concerto Competition and performed with the group on Sunday! Lydia was selected through an audition process in February.

Prom Court: Austin Grass, Benjamin Lamb, Brady Holub, Cooper Catalano, Danica Bauer, Ella Ball, Emersyn Coulter, Fynn Langley, Ian DeMichiel, Keely Schwind, Madelyn Keller and Mason MacDonald SoftballThe softball team went 3-1 last week, moving to 14-5 overall and 12-2 in the GMC (2nd place).  The next game is against 1st place Menomonee Falls on Friday, May 10.

Junior P Kylie Otto was the tough luck loser for the Warhawks, going the distance in the circle giving up 3 runs (1 earned) on 10 hits and 2 walks while striking out 8.

 

Junior SS Kayla Preiss (2-3, 2 R, 3 SB) had 2 hits and was driven in twice by Junior 3B Julia Sina (1-3, 2 RBI).  Sophomore Addy Johnson (1-3, SB) had the only other hit for Germantown.

The Warhawks wrapped out 17 hits, hitting leaders included:

Kendall Thomas pitched a complete game, going 5 innings allowing 4 hits, no walks and striking out 6.

Senior P Kendall Thomas got the win in both games, raising her record to 7-1 on the season and notching her 3rd complete game of the season in game 2.

SoftballSoftballSoftballSoftballSoftballSoftballTrack and FieldBoys’ Track and Field: On 5/8 the Varsity Boys competed in the Richmond Erickson Invite hosted by Wauwatosa East.

Top Performers are as follows: Vance Burnham, Michael Lenius, AJ Willard, and Aiden Nikolay- 1st in the 2x200m Relay (1:31.49), AJ Willard- 3rd in the 200m Dash (23.46), Eric Olson- 2nd in the 3200m Run (10:16.30) and Aiden Dykstra- 1st place and tying the meet record in the High Jump (6-6)!

The boys scored 62.5 points to finish 7th as a team.

Girls’ Track and Field: On Wednesday, 5/8 the Varsity girls competed at Hart Part at the Richmond Erickson Invite hosted by Wauwatosa East. The girls scored a total of 63 points to finish 7th as a team. 

Medaling performances included: Gracie Ballesteros, Samyiah Fox, Lizzy Liker, and Kate Ittner - 2nd (9:55.81) in the 4x800m Relay, Morgan Johnson, Kate Ittner, Addison Braidigan, and Sophia Zastrow - 3rd (4:10.52) in the 4x400m Relay, Piper Eby - 1st (140-8) in the Discus Throw and Madeline Jakusz - 2nd (35-6.5) in the Shot Put. 

Several new season bests and personal records were set as well which is a great sign heading into the final stretch of the regular season! The Varsity girls will compete next at the Greater Metro Conference Meet at Hart Park next Tuesday, 5/14. The JV girls will finish their season on Saturday 5/11 at their Outdoor Conference Meet at Wauwatosa West.

Girls SoccerThe girls' soccer team won a game against Tosa West on Tuesday 1-0 and lost a hard-fought battle last night against Nicolet 1-2. The girls are in action again next week at home on Tuesday against Brookfield East. Good luck!
