The Germantown Girls' Varsity Soccer team traveled to the De Pere Invite over the last weekend and played Oshkosh West and Kimberly.
In the first game against Oshkosh West, the team battled and controlled the game with over 72% possession and outshot them 18-3 and were just challenged to put the ball in the back of the net.
In their second game against Kimberly, currently ranked #4 in Division I 1 and #6 overall in Wisconsin, the team was able to put one in the net early and led at halftime with a goal from Mary Leininger and assisted by Gabbie Hetzel. Unfortunately, 30 mph plus winds challenged the team in the second half and they were unable to withstand a very strong Kimberly team and loss 3-1.
Tuesday night, the girls were able to celebrate Senior night and come away with a victory over West Allis Hale 11-0. The team was so glad they could get a win for their seniors: Jolie Angers, Lexi Flath, Maddy Moranski, and Ella Rogowski.
The team had 6 goals scored by Mary Leininger. Megan Grater got into the action with 2 goals, Ellery Frieburger with 1 goal, and then finally 2 of the team’s seniors got involved and Ella Rogowski and Maddy Moranski finished off the scoring for the night.

Keep it going girls!!
JV2 played one game week and this group is sure having lots of fun together as a team. They took on Oshkosh West on Thursday and dominated the game. They kept the ball on the opponents half almost the entire game. Unfortunately, like the game of soccer goes, they walked away with a 0-0 tie.
