The Tri-M Music Honor Society recognizes students for their academic excellence, musical skills, and leadership in the classroom. Monday, 42 new members were inducted into the group. The Tri-M Executive Board ran a very successful ceremony. During the school year, the honor society will provide service to the music programs at all of the district schools, perform in the community, and give opportunities to the students to expand their musical talents. Congratulations to the new members!
This week, students with Skills USA went to the district competition in Antigo Wisconsin and competed in several events. Congratulations to Claire Reedy who took 2nd in T-Shirt Design, Sahejpreet Kaur who took 3rd in Related Technical Math, Sylis Mauer who took 3rd in Power Equipment Technology, Evan Schmitt who took 1st in Culinary Arts, Jayden Knight who took 1st in Collision Damage Appraisal and 2nd in Automotive Service Technology , Cody Ziglinski who took 2nd in Collision Damage Appraisal and 3rd in Auto Maintenance & Light Repair: Electronic Diagnostics, and Christian Eggold who took 2nd in Auto Maintenance & Light Repair: Brake Systems.
Congratulations to the Germantown Girls' Swim and Dive Team for their amazing performance last weekend at the WIAA D1 State Swim and Dive Championships. For the first time in school history, Germantown took first in a relay at the D1 level. A special congratulations to Izzy Barger, Abby Bruss, Julia Saxman and Caden Kelly for winning the 200 medley relay. Their time was the 4th fastest time EVER in D1 State history. They broke the school record and earned All American status. Also a HUGE congratulations to Fynn Langley for being this year's state CHAMPION in the 1 meter diving event. The State Swim and Dive Champions and Coaches took a lap around the first and second floors of the high school on Wednesday. The band led the way and students and staff congratulated them for their efforts! Way to go!
