The Wall of Sound celebrated their season with the Indoor Showcase on Monday. The KMS 8th Grade Band opened the show. The Color Guard Workshop gives people the opportunity try out the color guard and see what it is like to spin a flag and learn a dance routine. The Wall of Sound performed their show. The night wrapped up with a 5th Quarter performance, including the 8th Grade Band. The event was a fun way to wrap up the season.
This weekend your SolTown A Cappella crew took part in the Oak Creek A Cappella Party, and turned in a show stealing performance of "I Hear a Symphony" by Cody Fry. The night was highlighted by the virtuosic solo stylings of Carlo Pietrangelo. Competition season is just around the corner. Congratulations to Calvin Redeker on an excellent performance in the WIAA State Cross Country Championship meet last Saturday, 10/28 at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids. Redeker covered the hilly 5k course in 17:01, placing 82nd among the 190 Division 1 qualifiers that competed in this year's State competition.

State Cross-Country Meet – October 28th, 2023
The 5K (3.1 miles) cross-country course at The Ridges in Wisconsin Rapids is widely viewed as one of the toughest in the state. After an equally tough course last week at sectionals, Samyiah Fox returned to the state meet, running in the Girls D1 race. In each meet this year, Samyiah has improved on her times from last year, and the state meet was no different. Samyiah ran 20:06, lowering her time from 20:17 in 2022, and finished 73rd out of 190 runners. Congratulations Samyiah!
Congratulations to the Germantown Girls Swim and Dive Team as they took first place at the Greater Metro Conference this past Saturday! A special congrats to Fynn Langley for being recognized as the GMC diver of the year! This was the first time in school history the Girls Swim and Dive team won the greater metro conference! Congratulations and good luck this weekend at Sectionals. (Diving is tonight at 6 and swim is tomorrow at 1pm at Germantown!)
