Warhawks: Please continue to show good sportsmanship at all sporting events, both home and away, throughout the year. It is expected that all in attendance exhibit and promote good sportsmanship. Cheer positively for Germantown and show respect for the opponent, all coaches, officials, and event staff. GO WARHAWKS!
The plan for last Friday included the Wall of Sound hosting the 6th grade band for the football game. Mother nature did not cooperate. Fortunately, both groups were able to move into the field house. It was a fun night for all involved. The 6th graders played with the Wall of Sound, the Wall of Sound performed their show music for them, then it was time for pictures of all involved. The high school band instructors look forward to seeing the 6th grade students as a part of the Wall of Sound in three short years.
On Sunday, the Wall of Sound traveled to Mukwonago for the Phantom Fest Invitational. They placed first in AAAA competition and earned the Music Caption Award for the best musical performance of all bands at the festival.
Good luck to the Wall of Sound as they travel to UW-Whitewater for the WSMA State Marching Band Competition on Saturday!

Port Invite – October 5th, 2023
It had been a number of years since the girls' cross country team ran in the Port Washington Invite at Tendick Park, so this was a brand-new course for everyone on the team. Tendick is a beautiful venue for a cross-country meet: out in the country with rolling terrain, woods, open prairies, and a big hill.
While it’s a challenging course, the girls ran great, with Keira Lorbecki, Katy Morin, Lauren Reineck, Emily Laitinen, Elyse Steuerwald, Natalia Koritkova, and Brooklyn Chesir running new PRs, and Cassie Zarder finishing with a season best.
Medal winners in the Varsity race were Lizzy Liker (7th), Samyiah Fox (9th), and Kierta Siegert (#13), leading the team to 3rd place out of 16 teams. The JV team was led to 2nd place by medal winner Ella Armstrong (3rd), followed closely by Elise Olson (6th), Adeline Timm (10th), Carley Lorbecki (12th), Lauren Reineck (13th), and Emily Laitinen (14th). Another meet with great team results! Full results can be found at: https://wi.milesplit.com/meets/564163-port-washington-invitational-2023/results
This coming Saturday morning, Oct. 14th, the Greater Metro Conference meet will be held at Rotary Park in Menomonee Falls. Come on out and cheer on your Warhawks!
Good luck tonight! The football team takes on Brookfield Central away tonight at 7pm! You can purchase tickets HERE.
Germantown Boys' Soccer wrapped up the regular season with 2 games this week, a 0-1 loss at Sussex Hamilton and a 3-0 victory against Mukwonago. On Tuesday the team traveled to Sussex Hamilton with the chance of climbing to 4th in the conference for the first time since joining the GMC. Unfortunately, a first half goal from Sussex and great defense on their part was enough to hold Germantown off and keep the team from an equalizing goal despite Germantown's many opportunities. On Thursday the team wrapped up their regular season by hosting the Mukwonago Indians. Nick Humphriss had two goals, one off a free kick just outside the box and another off a PK. Bennet Krause had one goal, assisted by Reid Newkirk. Overall, it has been a very successful season so far, going 10-5-1 in the regular season. The team heads into the playoffs as a 4 seed and hosts Hartford on Tuesday, October 17th at 7PM. Hope to see you out there! GO WARHAWKS!
Congratulations to the Germantown Girls' Swim & Dive Team as they wrapped up their regular season last against with a dual against Wauwatosa East. The Varsity won 133-48 and the JV won 138-15. With October being breast cancer awareness month and to honor those who have fought and continue to fight this disease, the team proudly wore pink swim caps, as a powerful symbol of support and solidarity.
The JV finished undefeated in conference with a 6-0 record.
The Varsity finished with a 5-1 record.
Last weekend the Swim Team finished in with a close 2nd in the Germantown Sprint Invite. They missed first by 1 point. Fynn Langley finished first at the Nicolet Dive Invite last Friday and 3rd at the Cedarburg Bulldog Dive Invite last Saturday.
What a season for these girls. Lots of season best and lifetime best times and scores so far. JV Conference is next Saturday at Wauwatosa West, while Varsity Conference is Saturday, October 28th at Brookfield Central.
The girls also had their parent night last night where they honored their parents. Thank you, parents! Also, good luck to the divers as they host their invitational tonight!
Good luck to the boys' JV and JV2 volleyball teams as they compete in their conference tournaments tomorrow!
Good luck to the girls' volleyball team as they travel to Neenah for a Regional match-up on Thursday, October 19 at 7pm!
