TONIGHT- before the Football game, four former student-athletes and one current coach will be inducted into Germantown's Wall of Fame! Plan to be at the stadium by 6:30 to watch David Pietrowiak, John "Jack" Stiever, Kerri Kreis (Stiever), Ben Kaebisch and Mollie Kaebisch be inducted into this year's Wall of Fame class!
Rehearsals have begun for the first fall play. Dramatic Impact presents THE ODD COUPLE (Female Version), October 20-22nd in the PAC.
Linnea Huntoon and Hannah Paul star as Olive and Florence in this female remake of Neil Simon's classic comedy. Recently dumped from her husband, Florence is taken in by her friend and they struggle to see eye to eye on just about everything. Domestic struggles are nothing when they meet the Constanzuela brothers and plan an ill fated dinner date.

This last weekend, the Wall of Sound traveled to Franklin for the Saber Marching Invitational. No one can control the weather. You can only control how you react to bad weather. After rain and lightning moved the marching competition inside, the Germantown students respond with an excellent show, performing in the Franklin gym. This week they travel to Waukesha West on Sunday for the Fox River Invitational.
On Thursday, September 14th the Germantown Boys' Cross Country Team competed in the Whitefish Bay Invitational at Kletzsch Park in Glendale. Teams in attendance included Badger, Brookfield East, Nicolet, Racine Park, University School of Milwaukee, West Bend West, Whitefish Bay and Wauwatosa East.
The JV Boys finished 1st as a team with 29 points ahead of Nicolet (85) and Badger (103). Emerson Feltz led the team with a 1st place individual finish and a PR of 18:09. Additional JV scoring athletes included Brayden Ebli in 2nd with a time of 18:14, James Goetter in 4th with a PR of 18:23, Tyler Oertel in 8th with a PR of 18:37 and Jack Flynn in 14th with a time of 19:05.
Max Gahr (19:33), Hunter Erdman (20:07), Ethan Galle (20:12), Jeremiah Morrow (20:13), Max Pirkey (24:10), and Noah Rafn (24:24) ran individual PRs in Thursday’s race.
The Varsity Boys finished 3rd as a team despite being down three athletes for the evening. Jack Wanezek led the team with a 1st place individual finish and a time of 16:40. Additional Varsity scoring athletes included Eric Olson (17:16), Cooper Walsh (17:34), Will Cascio (17:47) and Matthew Momper (17:57).
The Boys' Cross Country Team will race again on Saturday, September 23rd in the Midwest Invitational at Blackhawk Golf Course in Janesville, WI. Good luck!
Whitefish Bay Invite – September 14th, 2023
The girls faced a tougher course this week versus last week, but showed their strength with an abundance of PRs (personal records) and SBs (season bests). Lowering their PRs were Samyiah Fox, Lizzy Liker, Kierta Siegert, Katy Morin, Elise Olson, Carley Lorbecki, Lauren Reineck, Emily Laitinen, Savannah Wendorf, Paige Greisch, Elyse Steuerwald, Clare Kanters, Jordan Knudson, Ellie Ankerson, and Ella Gouthro; running SBs were Grace Pedersen, Alissa Lorbecki, and Brooke Jakubowski.
Medals winners in the varsity race were Samyiah Fox (4th) and Lizzy Liker (5th), leading the varsity team to 3rd place. The JV team continues to show the depth we have this year, improving on last year’s 6th place with 2nd place this year, only 3 points out of 1st! Medal winners in that race were Sophie Lee (1st), Elise Olson (3rd), Carley Lorbecki (6th), Lauren Reineck (9th), and Emily Laitinen (10th). Next up is the Midwest Invitational on Saturday, September 23rd. There are 50 schools scheduled to attend this meet in Janesville, so it will be quite the experience for the team!

The Germantown Boys’ Soccer Team has gone 1-0-1 so far this week with a big 3-2 victory over the Falls and a 1-1 tie against Shorewood. At the Falls, Adam Dethloff had two goals and senior captain Nate Brock had a game winning goal late in the second half. Thursday night was faculty night. Germantown started the scoring with a freekick taken by Joey Melka and finished by Nick Humphriss. Unfortunately, they were unable to hold the lead in the second half and ended the game in a tie. Next, the boys travel to Arrowhead for a 4 team tournament and will take on Oak Creek Friday night. Good luck!
Another great week of swimming and diving for the Germantown Girls' Swim & Dive Team. Last Friday, the JV team went to West Bend and competed in the West Bend JV Invitational. The team took second overall with lots of podium finishes.

The JV2 Germantown Girls' Tennis Team wrapped up their season by traveling to Hartland Arrowhead this week! The team had a great, fun season! From the beginning of the season in August to now all of the girls did a FANTASTIC job representing Germantown with good sportsmanship, giving their best effort at practice or a match, and having FUN!
This season the team saw action on the courts against the following opponents:
Brookfield East, DSHA, Hartland, Kettle Moraine, Kewaskum, Oconomowoc, Slinger, & Sussex. Well done, Team!
