UWAY is a select honor wind ensemble at UW-Milwaukee. Members are selected through an audition process in the fall, rehearse weekly during the school year, and perform three concerts during the year. Germantown was very well represented in this group. Seniors Dani Martinez and Vali Martinez were four year members of UWAY.

The Wall of Sound has started preparing for their fall marching season with their first practice this week. Next year’s freshmen band members are already learning their way around the high school. The current juniors are more than ready to take on the senior leadership roles. We all look forward to seeing and hearing you perform next fall!

The Germantown Forensics Team earned the WISDAA's Distinction in Speech Award, for ranking among the top 6-10% of medal-earning teams (based on strongest medal earning) at the 2023 WISDAA State Speech Festival. This represents hours of time and talent in developing performance skills from Germantown students.  Congratulations to all!

The varsity baseball team won 3 conference games and lost one this week.  Despite allowing only 2 unearned runs and just 3 hits, the Warhawks' baseball team lost 2-1 to Brookfield East as senior Carter Szohr pitched an outstanding game. On Wednesday, sophomore Evan Lauer pitched a 2 hit shutout and senior Cole Baier hit a clutch insurance home run in a 2-0 victory over Brookfield Central. On Thursday the Warhawks won both games of a doubleheader against Tosa West as sophomore Logan Zaverl picked up the victory in the first game and seniors Jack Kolinski and Brady Vincent combined to shut down Tosa West in the 2nd game. To complete a full week of baseball, the varsity takes on Muskego today and Menomonee Falls Saturday morning at 10:00, both at home.  Good luck!
