Taking home medals in Architectural Drafting were Oliva Fernandez who placed 3rd, Brady Winklbauer placed 2nd, and Dhir Patel placed 1st. In Prepared Speech, Ruben Mendes placed 1st. In Collision Repair Technology, Ryan Schmitz placed 3rd. In Criminal Justice, Tyler Weber placed 2nd. In Culinary Arts, Evan Schmitt placed 1st. In Job Interview, Noah Gasper placed 2nd. The Warhawk 9 lost two one - run games this week, 6-5 to Marquette and 3-2 to Milwaukee Rufus King in 8 innings, while defeating Tosa East 11-5, to run its season record to 4-3. The Warhawks play 4 home games in the next 5 days, taking on Homestead and West Allis Hale on Saturday, and Hamilton and Brookfield Central on Monday and Tuesday. Good luck!
This week the Germantown Boys' Varsity Golf Team visited Greenfield Park for the second GMC meet of the season. Germantown tied the schools 9 hole scoring record with a 150 total and won the meet!
Cody Schmidt was low with a 36 , followed by Henry Kelley 37 , Justin Ische 38 , Charlie Larson 39 and Kolby Bohling with 40.
On Wednesday the team traveled to Wanacki for the Brook Central Invitational. Germantown finished 9th as a team out of 22 schools with a 320. Cody Schmidt finished 9th place individually with a 76. Justin Ische fired a 77, Kolby Bohling 83 and rounding out the scoring were Charlie Larson and Henry Kelley with 84’s.
The Germantown Girls' Soccer Team swept Tosa East last nightwith victories for both JV and Varsity! Varsity won 2-0 and JV won 3-1.
Varsity now improves to 3-3 on the season with their conference record standing at 2-2.

The softball team earned 3 run-rule wins this week, outscoring their opponents 40-5 while raising their record to 8-2 in the GMC and 9-3 overall.
Germantown defeated Brookfield East 11-1 on April 24. The Warhawks were in control from the start, scoring 3 in the 1st - the big hit was a 2-run inside-the-park homer by Kayla Preiss (2-3, HR, 2 R, 2 RBI), her 5th HR of the season. In the 3rd, Leah Heinz (1-3, HR, R, 3 RBI) added a 3-run homer, her 3rd of the season. Hailey Williams pitched a complete game, scattering 5 hits over 5 innings, striking out 2 and walking none.
Germantown broke open a 2-2 game with 4 runs in the 5th and 11 in the 6th to defeat Brookfield East 17-2 on April 25. In the 5th, Maddy Balsiger (3-4, HR, 2 R, 4 RBI) stroked a 2-run homer to give the Warhawks a 4-2 lead. Germantown scored two more that frame before breaking the game open with a 16 batter, 11 run 6th. In addition to Balsiger, Madison Werner (2-4, R, 4 RBI), Kayla Preiss (2-3, 2B, 2 R, RBI), Leah Heinz (3-5, R, 3 RBI) and Taylor Wilson (3-4, 3 R, 2 RBI) all notched multi-hit games. Sarah Nasif (2 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 K) started in the circle and pitched 2 scoreless innings before giving way to Hailey Williams (4 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K), who went the final 4 innings to earn the win.
Germantown beat Wauwatosa West 12-2 in 5 innings on April 27. The Warhawks started all 9 of their seniors on Senior Night. Leah Heinz (2-3 2B, R) and Hailey Williams (2-3 2 R, 2 RBI, 2 SB) led the way on offense while Sarah Nasif (5 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 5 K, 0 BB) went the distance in the circle, picking up her 2nd win of the season.
Germantown travels to Divine Savior Holy Angels on April 28 for another GMC tilt and hosts their annual tournament on April 29.
The Germantown Boys' Tennis Team is off to a great start this season. Varsity started the season placing 4th out of 16 at the Mukwanago Invite and then placed 10th out of 32 teams in the Brookfield Central Invite, upsetting Whitefish Bay and Arrowhead in the tournament. Next up is the Washington County Invite. The JV team has also seen tremendous success on the court. They are currently 6-1 and recently notched a great win over Whitefish Bay. They have their conference tournament the first weekend in May. Keep up the great work!
On Tuesday, April 25th the Germantown Varsity Girls’ Track and Field Team competed in the Washington County Invite hosted by Hartford. The girls scored 91 points to place 4th as a team.
Medaling performances included:
Kate Ittner placing 3rd in the 1600m Run (5:43.38)
Claire Reedy placing 1st in the 400m Dash (1:05.17) and 3rd in Pole Vault (7-0)
Piper Eby placing 1st in both the Shot Put (32-6) and Discus Throw (114-5*)
The 4x100m Relay Team of Macie Daniel, Miranda Leffler, Blyss McCune, and Rylie Olson placing 2nd (54.92)
On Thursday, April 27th the JV girls competed at the KML JV Invite hosted by Kettle Moraine Lutheran. Fourteen individual personal bests were set as the girls compiled 103 points to place 3rd as a team.
Top performances included:
Elise Redeker placing 1st in the High Jump (4-11*) and 3rd in the 400m Dash (1:09.64*)
Anne Drinan placing 3rd in the 1600m Run (6:42.64*)
Uma Goradia placing 2nd in the 100m Hurdles (21.16)

It has been a busy week for GHS Track and Field!
On Saturday, April 22nd Dillon Walker competed at Distance Night in Palatine in Palatine, Illinois where he ran a mile PR of 4:26.85, splitting a 4:25.21 in the 1600m.
On Tuesday, April 25th the Varsity boys competed in the Washington County Invite at Hartford High School where they scored 101 points, placing second out of eight teams. First place finishers include the 4x800m relay team consisting of Bennett Krause, Cooper Walsh, Troy VerStrate and Dillon Walker (8:28.27), the 4x200m relay team consisting of Joey Knopp, AJ Willard II, Will Van Fossen and Jayson Koel (1:32.97), the 4x100m relay team consisting of Joey Knopp, Jayson Koel, Will VanFossen and JV Myles (44.25), Jonas Price in the 400m dash (53.09) and Vance Burnham in the 200m dash (23.28). Second place finishers include Josh Brunner in pole vault (11-06) and JV Myles in triple jump (42-09). Third place finishers include Will Cascio in the 3200m run (10:39.71).
On Thursday, April 27th the JV boys competed in the Kettle Moraine Lutheran JV Invitational. First place finishers include Louis Williams III in the 110m hurdles (19.13) and Mythais Polk in triple jump (37-09). Second place finishers include the 4x800m relay team consisting of Emerson Feltz, Hunter Erdman, Dhir Patel and Arlo Gaskill (9:43.64), Louis Williams III in the 300m hurdles (44.68), and Thomas Suit in discus (104-09). Third place finishers include Justin Mahr in the 100m dash (12.66).
Jack Wanezek, Troy VerStrate and Dillon Walker qualified for and will compete tonight, 4/28 at Hale Distance Night in West Allis.
