Congratulations to the powerlifting team who won the 2023 Powerlifting America Female Equipped National Championship. It was a close race all weekend for the team against Covington High School (Louisiana) and the championship came down to the 84kg class with MacKenzie against a Covington High School lifter. Whoever won the weight class, won the National Championship for the team. Through MacKenzie's 8 for 9 performance, she easily secured first place by nearly 61 pounds. It was a fantastic performance that helped the team secure the 2023 National Championship; their second in two years.
Beyond the team's fantastic performance in the Female Equipped Varsity category, the team performed phenomenally all weekend long, including a second National Champion in Lydia Pederson who competed in the JV Female Raw category.
