Everyone who is a member of the Germantown School District—teachers, parents, support staff, administrators, instructional assistants, custodians, and, of course, the students—is an integral part of this learning community, actively engaged in learning and growing as individuals. We encourage and learn from each other while solving meaningful problems, whether it’s in mathematics or social relations. We know that learning together and from one another is one of the most powerful ways to learn.

GSD is fortunate to have parents who are actively involved in the lives of their children and the school community. The Germantown School Board members devote their time and efforts to assure continuous improvement of programs and services for all our children. In this regard, we are a close and supportive community of learners, with students placed firmly in the center.

SCHOOL PERFORMANCE
According to Wisconsin Statute 115.38 annually by January 1, each school board shall notify the parent or guardian of each pupil enrolled in the school district of the right to request a school and school district performance report. Below are links to the most recent years’ reports.

WISEdash is a data portal that uses "dashboards," or visual collections of graphs and tables, to provide multi-year education data about Wisconsin schools. As a public reporting tool, WISEdash is used by districts, schools, parents, researchers, media, and other community members to view data published by DPI. 

The most recent state report cards rated Germantown School District and its schools as “Exceeds Expectations.”

GSD has two National Blue Ribbon schools, County Line and Rockfield, an honor that affirms the hard work of the educators, families, and community in creating safe and welcoming schools.

Germantown High School placed as the 24th best public high school in Wisconsin out of 534 schools in the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings.

The GHS Academic Hall of Fame recognizes students who earn an ACT score of 30+, Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars, and National Merit Scholars.

GSD offers leading-edge technology supports including STEM, 1:1 electronic device frameworks, and personalized learning.

The Germantown community offers strong community support to provide student scholarships for higher education and mini-grants in support of schools and classroom teachers.

GSD has a strong faculty retention rate and more than 170 certified staff have a Master’s degree.

GSD staff are continually fostering character education, strong school-to-home connections, and championing family support.

Collectively, GSD schools have more than 100 clubs, sports, and co-curricular activities to help students develop their interests and skills.
